Da Ji – Warriors Orochi

Warriors Orochi is a beat ’em up video game developed by Omega Force and published by Koei in 2007 with the game being a crossover between popular video games Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. Da Ji may not look on the outside like a fox but her real form is a nine-tailed fox spirit who she has been possessed by. Her human appearance is known as a human vessel, meaning the body that carries her fox spirit.

Tamamo No Mae – Warriors Orochi

Tamamo No Mae is a mythological Japanese figure from the late Heian period from the beat ’em up video game Warriors Orochi, she is the same as Da Ji in that she harbors the spirit of a nine-tailed fox spirit. She is known for her mischief in the Mystic Realm and is responsible for many demon attacks on her fellow mystics.

Kyubi No Kitsune – Warriors Orochi

Kyubi is a mythological beast from the Warriors Orochi video game, she is one of the more powerful characters and is hard to unlock in the game. She is only unlocked after completing the final battle in the campaign and clearing one of the side scenarios involving characters Tamamo, Seimei or Sun Wukong. Kyubi is a malevolent character who thrives on conflict with Kyubi being the one base on the lore that originally waged war on the mystics in her realm.

Xiaomu – Namco

Xiaomu is a female protagonist from the Japan-only crossover video game Namco x Capcom, she is also the female protagonist of the adventure role-playing video game Project X Zone 2. Xiaomu is a mystic fox that is 765 years old, she is portrayed in the game as immature as well as an otaku (a young person interested in anime and online games.).

Vulpix – Pokemon Series

Vulpix is a Pokemon that looks like a fox, his tail separates into six separate tails if its trainer gives it enough love. Vulpix’s body burns a flame that never goes out, during times when the temperature is quite hot he will project the flames out of his mouth in order to prevent his body from overheating.

Ninetales – Pokemon

Ninetales is a fire-type Pokemon introduced in Generation 1 of the Pokemon series, he also has rarer variants that have Icy/Fairy powers with the pokemon being evolved from the Vulpix. The Ninetales is covered in thick fur and has nine tails each with an orange tip (depending on the type). Ninetales is not a Pokemon to be messed with he is very rare and powerful, Ninetales is a Pokemon known for being vengeful and for cursing anyone that has dared to go against it.

Miles ‘Tails’ Prower – Sonic The Hedgehog Series

Tails otherwise known as Miles is the famous fox companion of Sonic, he has been by Sonic’s side almost without fail from Sonic The Hedgehog 2 up to the latest Sonic video games such as Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces. He has been born with two tails which lead to his nickname of Tails and also for his ability to fly using his tails like the propellers of a helicopter. Tails is also known for his very high IQ which helps him a lot in being a master engineer, with Tails providing many inventions and vehicles for Sonic such as the X Tornado spaceship, the Tornado 1 plane, and SS Tornado Ex ship-like vessel.

Fox McCloud – Star Fox

Star Fox is a science fiction video game series developed and published by Nintendo, the game follows an independent mercenary unit made up of anthropomorphic animals called Star Fox which is led by protagonist Fox McCloud. Fox McCloud is as his name gives away a fox, he was designed by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takaya Imamura. Fox Mcloud is a pilot, combatant, and adventurer who at a young age was told by his father to never give up which is an ethos he usually throughout the video games in the series.

Rick The Fox – Fox n Forests

Fon n Forests is a 16-bit style action platformer with RPG elements that is developed by Bonus Level Entertainment and published by EuroVideo Meiden in December 2017. The video game switches between various modes and environments where you will see yourself flying, shooting and slashing. The video game’s protagonist is Rick The Fox who is an adventurous fox armed with a crossbow and the ability to fly in small alterations on the hunt to uncover the secrets of the fifth season.

Lucky – Lucky’s Tale

Lucky’s Tale is an indie 3D platformer video game developed and published Playful in 2016 as a launch title and pack-in-title for the Oculus Rift. The protagonist is a fox called Lucky, who has to run, jump, climb and do whatever he has to do in order to complete his objectives. The graphics for the game are great and vary from lush forests, swamps and even underwater.

The Fox – Tunic

Tunic is an action-adventure video game about a tiny fox in a big world, it is developed by Andrew Shouldice and published by Finji studios in what will be 2019. Not much has currently been revealed about the game with only a video, a few screenshots and also a short intro, however, the game has been gathering a lot of hype and from what little is currently available looks to be a promising video game.
