The Angry Birds Movie 2

The Angry Birds Movie 2 is a highly anticipated movie with the first Angry Birds Movie being one of the most successful movies based on video games ever made with a box office of $353 million and a budget just of $73 million which is also very exceptional considering that the Angry Birds game has a limited story and also none of the characters in the video game ever spoke.

Assassin’s Creed 2

Assassins Creed 2 is a no-brainer after the success of the first Assassin Creed movie which made a double profit with a budget of $125 million and a box office of $240.9 million which is not bad at all. The second movie will be a sequel to its predecessor which was released in 2016. It is likely that Ubisoft will continue to pump out many more Assassins Creed movies in the future as it does with the video games if the second movie shows that the first Assassins Creed movie wasn’t just a one hit wonder.

Borderlands

The Borderlands movie is rumored to be released in 2019, but little is yet known about the movie however veteran director Chris McKay is rumored to be the director of the movie. The creators of the game has confirmed that they are developing new stories for the movie rather than having adaptations of stories from the video game.

Inferno by Dante

Inferno by Dante is set to be released December 24th, 2018, it follows Dante who goes on a journey through the first and worst parts of the Afterlife. It is based on the video game Dante’s Inferno which is a 2010 action video game developed by Visceral Games and published by Electronic Arts.

Pokemon Detective Pikachu

Pokemon Detective Pikachu is one of the most highly anticipated video game based movies on this list, it has a very high budget and will feature well-known stars such as Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, and Rita Ora. The film is being created by Legendary Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures and Toho.

The Division

The Division movie is a no-brainer, its video game developers Ubisoft have already published a decently successful movie for its Assassins Creed franchise. The Division movie is being directed by David Leich and stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain. It is set on Black Friday in New York City where Bio-terrorists release a modified strain of Smallpox called the ‘Green Poison’.

Far Cry

The Far Cry series is set to have another attempt at a successful movie following the poorly received Far Cry game that came out in 2008. Little is known about the project as it is currently in development but we are sure it will be action packed to the top.

Firewatch

Firewatch is a single player first-person adventure video game developed by Campo Santo and published by Campo Santo in partnership with Panic studios in 2016. The movie’s storyline is being written by Sean Vanaman and its categories as currently set as adventure, drama, and mystery. The story is confirmed however to be based on the story of the Firewatch game which was a highly praised story and it will be interesting for fans of the game to see its incarnation on the big screen.

Five Nights at Freddy’s

A movie of the indie video game horror franchise that became a massive success is set to be directed by Chris Cawthon who also directed Harry Potter. It is presumed to be released in 2019 or 2020 but there is currently literally no info on the plot or the storyline of the movie.

Gears Of War
