Fallout 5 was confirmed in Spring 2017 by Bethesda, and there was certainly a lot of hype despite Fallout 4 being a bit of a flop. Many game publishers have predicted that the game is likely to be released around 2020. There are also rumours that the game may not actually be called Fallout 5 with instead the developers can opt to name it like Fallout: New Vegas by using a location name and even more interestingly the game could even be called Fallout: New Vegas 2.
Many gamers and gaming publications such as Tech Advisor and Frag Hero speculated that details about the game will be revealed at E3 2017 that took from 12th of June to 14th of June however there was no real announcement about the next Fallout game’s name, the story or when approximately will be released(something we didn’t expect with the game being in its early stages of development).
However the head Feargus Urquhart of Obsidian Entertainment who developed Fallout: New Vegas did speak about Fallout 5 “Oh, we’d love to do Fallout: New Vegas 2. It would be awesome. If I think of going from Fallout 1 to Fallout 2, we tried to associate the two areas somewhat closely. It wasn’t just ‘Oh, we’re gonna do this 2,000 miles from here.’ So I think if we were to do Fallout: New Vegas 2 — or just a new Fallout — we would probably separate it from what the internal team at Bethesda’s doing. We’d keep it on the West Coast, because we’re West Coast people. They’re East Coast, so it makes sense.” I guess we will just have to wait and see.
