A gaming convention and Call of Duty championship in Dallas was interrupted by someone calling in a fake bomb threat which forced the organisters to invitably shut down the show for public safety.

The Dallas police were called at 4pm local time and the threat was taken very seriously with many officers converging down on the scene accompanied by multiple helicopters.

Unfortunately the COD eSports event part of the Call of Duty World Chamionship had to be cancelled as police confirmed there was no viable bomb threat on the site 4 hours after being called, the event was moved to Saturday morning the next day.
