Google Invests $120 Million In Chinese eSports Firm Chushou

Google has invested $120 million in Chinese eSports firm Chushou making this Google’s second ever investment in a Chinese firm with the first being a Chinese AI development firm. Chushou is a live stream gaming platform, that has a focus on competitive play and mobile eSports a market fastly growing and predicted that it will eventually take over eSports played on PC and Consoles.The service has 8 million users a month and 250,000 live streams a day.

This is big news as it could be signalling Google’s interest in investing in the eSport scene which is in itself a big deal as Google is massive company and could easily become a force to be reckoned with if they wanted to.
