Sonic The Hedgehog is one of the most iconic hedgehogs and also blue characters in the world gaming, and it’s no surprise that he is on the list. With Sonic’s first appearance in 1991 in the Sonic the Hedgehog platform game, since then Sonic has been part of a countless number of the game as well as appearances on Television, films, music, comics and manga.
Mega Man (Capcom)
Mega Man is a legendary video game character, who has featured in over 50 video games over various platforms. He is known for his blue armour, his rocket flying abilities and lasers on his arms. The franchise has managed to keep itself fresh by creating different incarnations of Mega Man with some making him look like a child and other in his late teens and some even more like an adult. The story is very complex and detailed and in fact, it still hasn’t reached an end despite the first game being released in 1987.
Sub-Zero (Mortal Kombat)

Sub-Zero is a character from Mortal Kombat, he is one of the original characters from the first Mortal Kombat game. He uses ice in his fighting style against his enemies most notably Scorpion. Sub-Zero is actually a title, with the original Sub-Zero being killed in Mortal Kombat 2 and his brother taking his place from there on.
Stitch (Disney’s Stich)
Stitch started off as a film character, but due to the films massive success Disney decided to create a ton of spinoffs, with the game actually being quite successful, the game is called Disney’s Stitch: Experiment 626. It’s a 3D platform game developed by High Voltage games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game sees you travel across the galaxy in order to collect DNA strands for your boss Dr Jumba Jookiba.
Magikoopas (Super Mario World)
Magikoopas first appeared in Super Mario World, wearing their famous blue robes and pointed hats, their leader is called Kamek and is almost identical looking to them and is an advisor to Bowser, the Magikoopas are usually the main villains in the games they are featured in.

Vivi (Final Fantasy IX)
Vivi Ornitier also was known as VIVI is a playable character in Final Fantasy IX who wears from the Black Mage class and wears a blue coat and a pointy hat that is too big for him and flops behind his back. Vivi is a Fantasy fan favourite due to the growth of his career during the game, at first, he is clumsy and shy and doesn’t believe in himself but throughout his adventure, he ends up growing.
Geno (Super Mario RPG)
Geno is a warrior from Star Road from the Super Mario World RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars released originally in 1996, not much is really known about him apart that he is sent ‘from a higher authority’ to restore peace and teams up with Mario to help him do that.
Globox is a character many gamers will recognize from Rayman, he is Rayman sidekick despite not being a very good one with Rayman constantly having to save him but he is key in giving back Rayman’s powers and giving him the edge to defeat his enemies. Globox was not in the original Rayman game but appeared in the second instalment. But don’t underestimate him he is a master in Kung-Fu!

Dr. Wily (Mega Man)
Dr. Wily is a video game character, he is the main antagonist of the Mega Man series with Mega Man being another entry on this list of video game characters that are blue, he has been part of the series since the very start. The backstory behind his rise to super villain is that he is responsible for programming the original humanoid robots to help mankind however he got zero recognition and instead decided to reprogram them in order to create chaos.
Vault Boy (Fallout)
Vault Boy is not exactly a video game character, but has been featured in his own game, the promotional app store game known as Fallout Shelter. He is the mascot for Fallout and can be found throughout the games art, in locations inside the game world and is featured nearly always in the starting screen and ending credits.
Captain Falcon (Super Mario Bros & F-Zero)
Captain Falcon first appeared in racing video game F-Zero released by Nintendo however the game did not have much success but he was carried on to feature in various other games in the Super Mario Bros series. The character is also infamous for his terribly broken English which has made him stand out. Captain Falcon is a veteran F-Zero pilot and bounty hunter who has a reputation for being one of the best in the galaxy.
Conker The Squirrel (Conker Series & Donkey Kong)
Conker The Squirrel is probably most famous squirrel in video games, he was first featured in Diddy Kong Racing and due to his popularity had his own spinoffs. He is known for only wearing a blue jacket and also for his preference of alcoholic beverages.
Default Minecraft Character (Minecraft)
The default Minecraft character has been seen by every gamer around the world, he is known for his navy blue top and blue trouser, at the start of every game this are the aesthetics you are provided with but later on you have the ability to change them with more useful Armour.
Samus Aran (Metroid Fusion)
Samus Aran, is a female character most notably featured in action adventure video game Metroid Fusion, Samus Aran is a bounty hunter and she is equipped with a powerful humanoid Armour which gives her super human strength and abilities such as jumping extraordinary heights, the plot of the game revolves around Samus Aran being sent by the Galactic Federation to investigate the Biologic Space Expedition space station which is infested with infected organisms that have mutated.
Link (The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild)
Link is the silent protagonist from one of the best selling adventure franchises ever made, his outfit however changed recently due to the latest installment in the series, The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild which saw links costume changed to blue, but we don’t mind he is a very notable addition to our list!
