The games map is massive it features various environments from lust forests, mountanious and hilly to costal regions. You are able to navigate these environments using different vehicles from a wingsuit, a buggy and a cargo truck to name a few

Playerunknown’s battlegrounds or otherwise known as PUBG is the leading battle royale video game that arguably created the genre and also is the biggest game in the genre for now with its close competitor Fortnite Battle Royale not being far behind. The game currently contains two massive maps the original Erangal map and the second desert Miramar map with a third snowy map being in development. The maps in PUBG need to be fairly big in order to accommodate 100 players and aswell as allow exploration and looting.

Fallout 4 is an action adventure video game set in a post apocalyptic environment and the the fifth installment in the Fallout series, the game is known for being an early pioneer of open world games. The video game introduces major changes to the game such as being able to build settlements, increased and improved dialogue, a four legged companion known as Dog Meat and also its now possible to do melee damage with a ranged weapon when an enemy gets close which is extremely useful. The Fallout 4 map is about 2 times the size of the Fallout 3 map and it takes 20 minutes of non stop running from one end of the map to the other which doesn’t take into account any enemies or hazards you might encounter which will slow you down.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is an action role playing video game developed by BioWare Edmonton and published by Electronic Arts and it is the third major game in the Dragon Age franchise. The game allows you to create your own custom character and lead them in a quest to settle the civil unrest in the continent of Thedas and close a mysterious in the sky known as the Breach. Dragon Age: Inquisition’s map is five times the size of its predecessor, the map is separated in different areas with the map being bigger due to underground dungeons and castles which are essentially a mini map of their own.

Assassins’ Creed 4: Black Flag is an action adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, the game sees you play as Welsh pirate Edward Kenway who finds himself recruited to the Assassins’ guild who are in a vicious conflict with the Templars. The game puts a big focus on sea exploration with the map being absolutely massive, with a boat at full sail it will take you a good few hours to navigate the map not taking into account the various ships that will try to attack and the forts. The game stands out from all the other video games as it significally improves exploration as there are hundreds of islands to explore and you also need to hunt for animals in order to salvage them for better weapons or new outfits.

The map was created by the actual author of The Witcher book, the Witcher 3 map is 35 times the size of the Witcher 2 map and 3.5 times the size of Skyrim.

Just Cause 3 is an action adventure open world video game developed by Avalanche Studios and published by Square Enix. It follows protagonist Rico Rodriguez as he returns to his homeland known as Medici, a fictional Mediterranean dictatorship. The video game was criticized for being bland by gamers and also the CEO of Bungie as it was massive but very repetitive and there was nothing really to aim for or do once you reached the disappointing ending.
