F1 eSports Champion Gets Chance At Racing In Formula 1

Brendon Leigh is a 19-year-old from the United Kingdom who just won the first ever F1 video game eSports championship that was held this year in Riyadh’s King Fahd International Stadium in Saudi Arabia. The winner of the competition will get the chance to race in real life against the biggest start in Formula 1.

The competition will run at the same time as the Race Of The Champions Event which sees the biggest names in the Formula 1 scene such as Felipe Massa, Juan Pablo Montoya and Sebastian Vettel race against each other. The winner of the eROC competition (the eSports Road Of the Champions event) will see the winner be able to race in real life in the main event of the real-life Race Of The Champions event. This is super interesting as its combining eSports with the real-life sport which is something few video games can make a reality realistically .
